Summer Housekeeper (Luther Riverside Terrace)

Our Team Members provide caring services to residents and clients throughout Saskatchewan in our Seniors Independent Living Communities, Intermediate Care Homes, Long-Term Care, Group Homes for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, and programs like the Seniors Day Program and the Luther Seniors Centre. 

The Position:

In support of the Vision, Mission and Values of LutherCare Communities, and with funding from Canada Summer Jobs, we are seeking a Summer Housekeeper who is responsible for the weekly cleaning of residents suites and the buildings common areas which includes: making beds, changing linens, vacuuming of carpets, cleaning linoleum floors, cleaning the bathroom and light dusting.   

This position is only available to youth who:

• is between the age of 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
• is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
• is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations;

*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.

The Applicants:

Applicants must have a minimum of a grade 10 education (preferably grade 12) and have previous housekeeping experience. WHMIS training required within three months of employment. Applicants must have the ability to operate all housekeeping equipment and be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently. The successful applicant will have the ability to work unsupervised, be physically able to handle all required job duties and be comfortable working in a Christian environment with seniors.
