The Position:

In support of the Vision, Mission and Values of LutherCare Communities, we are seeking a professional, organized and self-motivated Communication Specialist to join our Marketing and Communications team.

This position is only available to youth who:

  • is between the age of 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
  • is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
  • is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.

*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.

The Applicant: This position will provide day-to-day reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications.

  • Support the Director to strategically positions ideas to resolve complex problems, to influence audiences, institute culture shifts, and design approaches to various communications strategies
  • Champion LutherCare Communities visual identity guidelines and brand
  • Support the Director to develop brand and visual identity and ensure compliance
  • Support the Director to develop and operationalize the content strategies and editorial processes for major digital and hard copy media channels
  • Collect and analyze data to gauge success and improve Marketing & Communications strategies
  • Collect, analyze and trend metrics
  • Review quality monitoring metrics for the use in efficiency and effectiveness of process improvement.

Applicants would typically have a grade 12 education and have a valid class 5 driver's license. Enrollment in a post-secondary program is preferred. Must have sufficient practical experience to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position as outlined. Applicants must have good interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic and must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
