Our Team Members provide caring services to residents and clients throughout Saskatchewan in our Seniors Independent Living Communities, Intermediate Care Homes, Long-Term Care, Group Homes for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, and programs like the Seniors Day Program and the Luther Seniors Centre.

The Position:

In support of the Vision, Mission and Values of LutherCare Communities, and with funding from Canada Summer Jobs, we are seeking a Summer Administrative Assistant to join our team in Luther Tower. 

This position is only available to youth who:

  • is between the age of 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment.
  • is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
  • is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations;

*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.

The Applicant: This position will provide day-to-day administrative support to Luther Tower includes:

  • Schedule management
  • Prioritize, plan and complete administrative functions (photocopying, scanning, printing, drafting, editing business documents)
  • Create, edit and proofread internal and external communications and business correspondence.
  • Maintain an electronic and paper filing system.
  • Assist in meeting preparation (attend, record, prepare accurate meeting minutes)
  • Manage policy and procedure manuals (ensuring they remain up to date)
  • Provide support to quality improvement initiatives.

Preference will be given to those enrolled in a secondary school or post-secondary education. Sufficient practical experience to perform the duties is required and experience working with seniors would be an asset. Applicants must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
